Our Services
Individual Speech Therapy
We provide individualized speech services tailored specifically for your child's unique needs. We will work one-on-one with your child to target areas of difficulty and create a personalized treatment plan to help them communicate more effectively. Targeted areas may include early language intervention, play based therapy, parent education, articulation/phonology treatment, and more.
Speech/Language Assessments
In order to develop an appropriate individualized treatment plan for your child we offer Speech/Language evaluations that can include various components such as birth/developmental history review, standardized testing, informal observations, and analysis of language samples. The assessment rate includes the time needed to conduct the assessment, a comprehensive report of the findings, and your child’s unique therapy plan.
Speech and Language skills may be assessed in a variety of different areas such as articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, and pragmatics. The rate of assessment will vary depending on areas of concern needing to be assessed.
If your child has a current speech/language report from another agency or school district, please call us to discuss possible options.
Artic/Language screeners
Not sure if your child needs speech therapy or what your areas of concern are? We also provide complimentary articulation or language screeners. This is a shortened assessment measure that can tell us where to start (or if we even need to!). This includes the time needed to conduct the screener and a short report of the findings.
A complete assessment is often needed to create a child’s therapy plan
About me
Ximena Talavera M.S. CCC-SLP
As a bilingual speech-language pathologist, I have experience in working with diverse populations in both school and clinical settings within the last 7 years. I have my Masters Degree from Loma Linda University, am a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and am licensed through the State of California Speech Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
My passion is working with “the littles” in Early Intervention as I find great value in involving families, like yours, to ensure the generalization of skills beyond our therapy sessions. I find collaborating with parents and caregivers plays a crucial role in supporting the child's progress and development outside of our sessions. Through this partnership, we can create a more holistic approach to intervention that fosters lasting change and growth.
